Virgin Space Fligt of Virgin Galactic

On December 13 2018 Virgin Galactic made its first successful crewed suborbital flight.

  It was the first ever airplane-style (horizontal) takeoff and landing of the space vehicle.

The SpaceShipTwo was taken to the altitude of 16 km by the mothership WhiteKnightTwo where it was released.

 Then it turned of its own rocket engine and accelerated.

In free flight it reached the altitude of about 84 km.

 After 15 minutes SpaceShipTwo touched down the Mojave desert strip.
